Over a year has passed since the Matt Joiner Band set out to get their debut cd completed. Finally, a date has been set. September 22, 2012will be the release party of the debut album entitled "Back When" at The Melting Point in Athens, Ga. It will be a unique event for the band as they present the cd in it's entirety followed by a tribute to Matt's guitar heroes. There will be special guests sitting in with the band to play songs by the guitar heroes that have influenced the sound that MJB calls it's own. Special guest's include John Keane(Strawberry Flatts), Kevin Sweeney(Hayride), Emily McCannon(Emily McCannon Band), John Watkins(Dead Confederate), Walker Howle(Dead Confederate), Mike Stokes(Gift Horse) Cody Stalvey(Tealvox), Mike Moravek(The Rattlers) and Charlie Garland(Emily McCannon Band).
